Night of Churches this Friday

The Night of Churches takes place on May 28th. This Friday evening and night, throughout many towns in the Czech Republic and Austria churches will be open with great variety of programmes for visitors.

The project started in Vienna in 2004, spread to other Austrian regions and in 2009 crossed the borders and took place in some parts of the Czech Republic. This year 380 churches in all Czech regions have joined the event.

The Night of Churches offers a free look at many churches, cathedrals, and monasteries and also presents a comprehensive program of free religious concerts, activities, and events. The Night of Churches presents Christianity and gives an opportunity for visitors and residents to experience what our churches have to offer, like stunning architecture and art, impressive musical performances, and a variety of programs including workshops or theatre performances.
